旅行と休暇は、Speaking(スピーキング)テスト全体で頻繁に登場します。
「very good」、「very beautiful」、「very tired」の先へ進み、「soak up the atmosphere」や「off the beaten track」のように、英語を母語とする人が実際に組み合わせて使うコロケーションを使えるか、そして「overtourism」のような旅行の悪い面を、良い面と同じように自然に話せるかに注目しています。
「a beach holiday」、「a day trip」、「a long weekend」、「a package holiday」、「a staycation」、「peak season」です。Part 1の質問「What kind of holidays do you like?」
- Part 1自分自身の生活についての導入の質問:「Do you prefer travelling alone or with other people?」、ほか4問は下に掲載。
- Part 2Describe a place you visited that you would recommend to others, Describe a quiet place where you like to spend time, Describe a natural place you have visited
- Part 3正確さがいちばん問われる抽象的な追加の質問:「Does tourism do more harm than good to popular destinations?」。
- Writing Task 2「

「off the beaten track」は何バンドに当たりますか?
Lexical Resourceの評価基準が見るのは、「I went on holiday」や「I went on vacation」のように語を正確に使うことで、「I went to holiday」ではありません。
「I love travel」、「travel broadens the mind」のように使います。「A trip」は離れている時間も含めた1回の訪問で、「a day trip」、「a business trip」のように使います。「A journey」はある場所から別の場所へ移動する行為で、「a long journey by train」のように使います。
