「what you do there」に適度に時間を使いましょう。

I’d like to describe a small reading room on the top floor of my local library, which is only about ten minutes from where I live. I go there fairly often, probably two or three times a week, usually in the late afternoon once most students have already left for the day. When I’m there, I mostly just read or work through university assignments, though sometimes I honestly don’t do anything particularly productive — I’ll just sit by the window and watch the street below, which sounds like a waste of time but genuinely helps me clear my head. What makes it peaceful, I think, is a combination of things: it’s fairly secluded compared to the rest of the building, since almost nobody goes up there, and there’s this tranquil quality to the light in the afternoon that I’ve never quite found anywhere else nearby. I also think part of it is just habit now — because I’ve been going for so long, my brain almost automatically shifts into a calmer state the moment I walk in, even before I’ve actually sat down. It’s become something of a retreat for me, especially during exam periods when everything else feels a bit chaotic; I can go there and lose track of time for an hour or two without checking my phone once, which almost never happens anywhere else in my daily routine. If I’m honest, it’s probably the one place where I feel completely undisturbed, and that alone is enough reason to keep going back.

  • 「what you do there」を、その場所が穏やかに感じられる理由に結びつけ忘れ、項目と「explain」の行がつながらないこと

  1. Why do you think people need quiet places to spend time in?
  2. Are quiet places becoming harder to find in cities?
  3. Do you think younger people value quiet time as much as older generations?
  4. What's the difference between being alone and feeling peaceful?1

「how often you go there」の項目は、現実的に頻繁に行く場所のほうが答えやすくなります。
