ในเกณฑ์ Lexical Resource (คลังคำศัพท์) กรรมการสอบฟังว่าผู้เข้าสอบบรรยายเทคโนโลยีได้ด้วยคำมากกว่า “good”, “useful” และ “convenient” หรือไม่ collocation (คำที่มักใช้คู่กัน) อย่าง “prone to glitches”, “a digital footprint” และ “streamline a process” แสดงว่าเชี่ยวชาญหัวข้อนี้จริง และสำนวนที่ใช้ถูกต้องและไม่บ่อยเกินไป เช่น “a double-edged sword”, “at the touch of a button” บ่งบอกถึงช่วงคำศัพท์ที่กว้างโดยไม่ฟังดูฝืน

  • Part 1คำถามช่วงเกริ่นนำเกี่ยวกับชีวิตของคุณเอง เช่น “Do you use a smartphone every day?”
Describe a piece of technology you find useful, Describe a website or app you use often
  • Part 3คำถามต่อเนื่องเชิงนามธรรม ซึ่งความแม่นยำสำคัญที่สุด เช่น “Has technology made people more or less connected to each other?”

use the internet go onlineทางเลือกที่สั้นกว่าและเป็นธรรมชาติกว่าในภาษาพูด
a good app a user-friendly appระบุคุณสมบัติที่เจาะจงแทนคำคุณศัพท์ที่คลุมเครือ
technology is very useful technology has become indispensableคำคุณศัพท์ที่เจาะจงแทนคำขยายความที่คลุมเครือ
it broke it stopped workingบรรยายอุปกรณ์ที่เสียได้เป็นธรรมชาติและเจาะจงกว่า
check my phone a lot be glued to my phoneสำนวนที่สื่อการใช้มากเกินไปได้เห็นภาพ
get information quickly access information at the touch of a buttonสำนวนธรรมชาติที่กรรมการสอบให้คะแนนเพราะพบได้ไม่บ่อย
computers make mistakes technology is prone to glitchescollocation
